Preserves Reserves is one of the Loving Spoonful’s efforts to capture the goodness of local donated food for use by 25 of Kingston’s shelters and hot meal programs.
On a night in late August, the group made apple sauce and blanched zucchini and patty pans for freezing.
“I like it because cool people come here,” she says. Anita knows a thing or two about cool – her other job involves running the Roswell Rehearsal space for bands and musicians. “I’m all about communities.”
